The story of Edwin begins in 1947, in the aftermath of World War II. Mr. Tsunemi, a Japanese denim enthusiast, had the idea of importing second-hand American jeans to the Japanese archipelago. At that time, no jeans were made in Japan until 1951, and the first Japanese jeans were both expensive and of poor quality compared to American denims. After a few years, Tsunemi decided to produce his own jeans under the Edwin label (an inversion of the letters in the word denim with a backward "m"). The success was immediate: by 1963, Edwin produced the strongest jeans ever seen with a 16 oz fabric!
High-quality finishes and original details such as the famous multicolored "rainbow selvedge" allowed the brand to gain international recognition. Today, Edwin is considered a reference in the world of jeans. The brand has also diversified and now offers t-shirts, sweats, and hoodies with Japanese-inspired designs. Shop the latest Edwin collections for men at Citadium! Not sure which Edwin jeans for men to choose? It depends on your style and body type! To find the ideal Edwin jeans, start with the cut: a straight jean will balance your silhouette, while a slim jean will highlight your legs. With Edwin denim, opt for subtle washes and raw shades like blue or black that reflect the brand's authentic side. Complete your look with other pieces from the Edwin men's collection! A simple sweatshirt featuring Mount Fuji or a manga-inspired graphic t-shirt will help you create a casual outfit that is both zen and relaxed.
